PSL Final in Karachi between Islamabad and Peshawar turned out to be cricket’s greatest spectacle.
Islamabad United clinched the crown for the second time after beating Peshawar Zalmi in the 2018 PSL final played at National Cricket Stadium, Karachi. The City of Lights was decorated to the fullest for the grand finale in order to welcome foreign players to Pakistan.
It was monumental occasions as a lot of hard work and effort when it to hosting the finals in Karachi. The cricket fanatics got to see their favorite players in action after 9 years. The last international game played was between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on 21st January, 2009.
The final at National Stadium saw a sellout crowd for the iconic clash between Reigning champions Peshawar Zalmi versus Islamabad United. The PSL Euphoria seemed to have gripped the whole city of Karachi as there were banners and hoardings of famous cricketers on the sides of roads.

Islamabad United came out on top against Peshawar Zalmi in a riveting contest in PSL 2018 Final. Openers Luke Ronchi and Sahibzada Farhan played leading roles for the side and got them off to perfect start. Islamabad United lost their way once the openers departed.

The middle order implosion saw Zalmi make a comeback into the game with four quick wickets. The turning point in the game was when Asif Ali dropped by keeper Kamran Akmal to see Islamabad United cruise to a comfortable victory and clinch their second title.
