Defending Champions Peshawar Zalmi look to stay alive in PSL in a must-win game against Lahore Qalandars
The 29th game of 2018 Pakistan Super League will see Peshawar Zalmi take on Lahore Qalandars at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday. Reigning champions Peshawar will have to win this one in order to qualify for the playoffs of the competition. A defeat for Zalmi in this game would mean elimination from the competition. Lahore Qalandars would be keen to end their disappointing season on a high with a victory over Peshawar.

Lahore Qalandars will definitely be keen to win this contest and would not treat this game as a dead rubber. Brendon McCullum has led the side well in the last couple of matches. Opener Fakhar Zaman produced a match-winning performance with the bat. The left-hander played a big innings to see Lahore post a daunting total on the board. Anton Devcich has been excellent at the top of the innings for the side.
Agha Salman has been a revelation for Qalandars this season. The youngster has chipped in with important performances throughout the competition. Gulraiz Sadaf produced a quick-fire 40 runs for the side in the last game. Sunil Narine has been not that effective with the bat this season.

The pace trio of Sohail Khan, Mitchell McClenaghan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been excellent for Lahore in the last three games. Yasir Shah and Sunil Narine also have been able to pick up crucial wickets for the side in the middle overs of the innings.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will have to win this game by all means. Kamran Akmal was the star of the show with the bat and scored 70-odd runs for the side. Peshawar will be hoping that he can produce big runs in this knockout game.
Mohammad Hafeez has not done well since coming in as opener. The 37-year old will be focused to produce runs for the side against Lahore. Dwayne Smith is a key player for Peshawar as West Indian has the ability to produce match-winning knock in this format. He has been fairly consistent with the bat for Peshawar Zalmi.
