Karachi Kings will aim to secure their place in the playoffs against Peshawar Zalmi.
The 27th game of 2018 Pakistan Super League will see Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi fight it out for a place in the playoffs. Kings just need to win this game to secure their place in the playoffs. For Peshawar Zalmi, this almost a knockout game as a defeat here would certainly diminish their chances of qualifying for the playoffs.

Eoin Morgan will be stand-in captain for Karachi Kings as Imad Wasim is sidelined due to head concussion suffered during the last game against Lahore Qalandars. The left-handed batsman will be keen to get some runs as he is coming into PSL on the back of splendid form for England. Lendl Simmons scored a fabulous half century and will be keen to do well in this game.

Joe Denly has been inconsistent with the bat in this competition and needs to raise his game for Kings for the last two round-robin games. Babar Azam is the premier batsman for the side as he scored 61 runs in the last game against Lahore. He has scored 244 runs in 8 games with three half-centuries to his name. Azam will be definitely the man to look out for Karachi in this game. Colin Ingram and Ravi Bopara need to produce more runs in the middle order.
Ingram will be needed to provide impetus to the innings at the end and help Karachi to post a competitive score on the board. Shahid Afridi can produce a match-winning performance with the bat. Former all-rounder will be keen to do something special for Karachi Kings. Usman Khan, Mohammad Amir and Muhammad Irfan Jnr will be three frontline bowlers for this game. Usama Mir might come in place of injured Imad Wasim for this clash.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will have to make amends for their mistakes after losing three games in a row. Riki Wessels might get a promotion up the order as Kamran Akmal has not done much with the bat in the last couple of games. Dwayne Smith might also get an opportunity to open the innings with Wessels. Mohammad Hafeez has been fairly consistent in the last couple of games. Captain Darren Sammy will need to produce with bat and ball.
