Reigning Champions Peshawar Zalmi keen to upstage Quetta Gladiators
The 10th game of Pakistan Super League 2018 will see reigning champions Peshawar Zalmi take on Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The head to head record between is slightly in favor of Zalmi as they have winners on two occasions in four matches.

The Gladiators cruised to a comfortable victory over Islamabad United in a game played at Sharjah on Wednesday. The side led by Sarfaraz Ahmed was superb as they restricted Islamabad to just 134 runs in 20 overs. Quetta Gladiators effort with the ball was even more commendable given that strike bowler Jofra Archer did play the game due to strain. His replacement John Hastings did not the kind of impact with the ball.
Kevin Pietersen was the star of the show with the bat as he produced a special effort to see Gladiators notch up their second win of the season. Shane Watson once again produced runs for Quetta Gladiators at the top of the innings. Mohammad Nawaz also played a handy innings despite making a name for himself as a bowler in the inaugural Pakistan Super League.
Mahmudullah will play this game ahead of Rilee Rossouw who has struggled to get going in the first two games for Quetta.
Peshawar Zalmi
Defending Champions Peshawar Zalmi lost their last game against Karachi Kings. Peshawar Zalmi will be desperate to win this game in order to stay in top half of the points table. Darren Sammy and co. will face an uphill task as Quetta Gladiators has looked in good form after producing back-to-back victories in the competition.
Zalmi’s top order failed to deliver as they could only muster 130-odd runs from their 20 overs. Dwayne Smith was the only player who stood tall for Peshawar Zalmi as he scored 71 runs for the side.
The experienced duo of Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez will need to something special with the bat. Tamim Iqbal has yet to deliver a big score for Zalmi. Haris Sohail is another promising player who needs to perform if Zalmi aims to overcome Gladiators in this contest.
Pace bowler Umaid Asif and leg-spinner Ibtisam Sheikh are the emerging players that have made their mark in the league while playing for Peshawar Zalmi. Chris Jordan and Wahab Riaz are experienced bowlers who will need to strike for Zalmi in the middle overs in order to restrict Quetta to a modest score.
