One-time winners Islamabad United will look to continue their winning run against Quetta Gladiators

The ninth game of the Pakistan Super League 2018 will see inaugural season champions Islamabad United take on Quetta Gladiators. Both the sides have won and lost one game apiece in this season so far.

The 10th game of PSL 2018 will be played on 1st March (Thursday) at 9 pm at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and you can see all the action on our Android App (Link Provided at the end of the Article).

Islamabad United did turn things around against Multan Sultans to notch up their first win of the season after suffering defeat at the hands of Peshawar Zalmi in their first game of the competition. Quetta Gladiators managed to produce a comprehensive win over Lahore Qalandars after losing their first game to Karachi Kings.

Check out highlights of last year’s game between two sides:

It remains to be seen whether Misbah-ul-Haq will come back to the side and lead Islamabad United. Stand-in captain Rumman Raees has done well so far and led the way with the ball in hand. United still have issues at the top of the innings with Sahibzada Farhan failing in the first two games. The opener will be keen to produce crucial runs at the top of the innings. Luke Ronchi will also have to raise his game for this clash.

Hussain Talat turned out to be an unlikely hero for Islamabad against Multan. The left-handed batsman showed class and temperament to produce a match-winning knock for his side. He will look to continue his good form in this game as well. Asif Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed might be inexperienced players in this league but will be keen to make their mark in the competition.

Andre Russell and Samit Patel provide options with bat and ball for Islamabad United. Shadab khan is a premier spinner in the lineup while Mohammad Sami and Faheem Ashraf have done a terrific job so far this season.

On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators looked much settled in their last game as bowlers set up a comfortable win over Lahore. Asad Shafiq and Shane Watson scored runs in the last game against Lahore. Umar Amin also chipped in with a crucial contribution with the bat. Australian all-rounder Shane Watson will once again hold the key for Quetta at the top of the order.

South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw and Kevin Pietersen will need to raise their game for Quetta in the next couple of games. Sarfaraz Ahmed is a charismatic leader who will be focused that his side can continue their winning run in this game as well.

Mohammad Nawaz is quality left-arm spinner for the side and bowled a terrific spell in the last game. Newcomer Jofra Archer has been sensational with the ball in the first two games for Quetta. Hasan Ali and Rahat Ali also did well in the last game against Lahore.
