In-form Karachi Kings take on beleaguered Lahore Qalandars in the eight game of PSL 2018

Karachi Kings have got off to a rollicking start in this year’s competition after producing back-to-back wins in the first two games. They will look to make it three in a row when they face Lahore Qalandars in the eight game of Pakistan Super League 2018 to be played on Monday.

Kings led by Imad Wasim have done everything right so far and would be keen to continue their winning run against Lahore Qalandars who are placed at the bottom of the table. The 8th game will start at 09:00 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

The Kings have surprised everyone by producing two great performances in the competition. Joe Denly and Babar Azam produced vital contributions with the bat in the last game. Khurram Manzoor could not produce runs with the bat.

Colin Ingram once again produced runs with the bat and helped the side come out on top in the game against Peshawar. Ravi Bopara and Mohammad Rizwan also will be pleased as they spend time in the middle to steer Karachi to their second consecutive win of the season.

Karachi Kings have the best bowling lineup in the competition. Mohammad Amir has been phenomenal with the new-ball. Tymal Mills has produced probing spells in the two games played so far. Kings Captain Imad Wasim also took key wickets in the last game and would be keen to make an impact with the ball. Mohammad Irfan Junior has done well for Kings.

It is good to see Kings performing well and playing to their potential after enduring torrid time in the last two editions of PSL.

Lahore Qalandars will under immense pressure after losing their first two games of competition. Things have not changed for Qalandars at all as the side has produced wretched batting performances to end up at the bottom of the table. Brendon McCullum needs to fire with the bat after producing low scores in the games played so far.

Sunil Narine and Fakhar Zaman have been good at the top of the innings but the problem lies in the middle order as someone like Umar Akmal and Cameron Delport needs to perform and get runs for the side. The side has struggled to get going as a unit and perform consistently in the competition. Salman Irshad might make his debut in this game as Shaheen Afridi has not done that well. Yasir Shah and Mustafizur Rahman have been splendid in the two games for Lahore Qalandars.

For Lahore Qalandars, they need to deliver collectively as a unit rather than rely on individual brilliance to get them over the line in this game.
