Shoaib Malik is named the captain of the Multan Sultans for the coming season with Kieron Pollard acting as his deputy. Kumar Sangakkara will take the gloves besides being the premier batsman in the side. Maqsood has been exceptional at the domestic level but would need to translate that in the upcoming season to make a comeback into the national side.
Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo, and Ross Whiteley were also picked up by Multan Sultans in order to cover all the bases for the PSL 2018. On the bowling front, Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, and Mohammad Irfan are experienced players who will battle it out for a place in the lineup. Multan Sultans also picked South Africa’s premier spinner Imran Tahir for coming season. Mohammad Abbas and South Africa’s Hardus Viljoen are also emerging players who can do well for the side.
