PSL 2018 Preview: Lahore Qalandars

Lahore will be determined to end their bad run in this season of PSL

Lahore Qalandars were touted as the side to watch out for before the start of inaugural PSL but the side endured torrid time in the first two editions. The franchise failed to make it playoffs of PSL for two seasons in a row.

Brendon McCullum will be keen to make amends for the mistakes made in the previous two editions. Former New Zealand opener will be desperate to have a good run with the bat in the upcoming season of PSL. McCullum will definitely eye a place in the playoff given the spending made by Lahore Qalandars in the PSL draft.

Umar Akmal will act as deputy to Brendon McCullum for this season. Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, and Fakhar Zaman will certainly bolster batting resources for the coming. Certainly, Lahore Qalandars will be looking towards Zaman to give them impetus at the top of the order.

Lahore Qalandars went all out in PSL draft to pick Australia’s Chris Lynn for the coming season. The T20 Superstar has given exhilarating performances in the format and done well in different leagues like Big Bash League (BBL) and Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Mitchell McClenaghan and Mustafizur Rahman are two new players for Lahore Qalandars for the coming season picked during PSL draft. Sohail Khan was picked also at a decent price while Yasir Shah and Sunil Narine are premier spinners in the side.

Sunil Narine is a complete player that can certainly come in as slogger at the top of the innings. He is also terrific spinner and has taken heaps of wickets in the T20 format. Cameron Delport and Anton Devcich are also T20 professionals who will be keen to make an impression with the bat in the coming season of PSL.
