The inaugural T10 Cricket League turned out to be a great success as a lot of international players participated in the competition. The newest format of the game i.e T-10 Cricket League saw jam-packed crowds in every game played at Sharjah International Cricket Stadium. The Pakistani players once again hogged the limelight in the star-studded T10 Cricket League played in UAE. Pakistani players provided entertainment as Shahid Afridi smashed sixes throughout the competition and Hasan Ali also delivered probing spells for Punjabi Legends against various teams in the T10 Cricket League.
Eoin Morgan led Kerala Kings to clinch the inaugural T10 Cricket League as Punjab Legends end up as runners-up in the competition. Let’s take a look at the ten of the most scintillating performances produced by Pakistani players in the T10 Cricket League.
Imad Wasim, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Khan, Fakhar Zaman (Pukhtoons vs Maratha Arabians)
Imad Wasim started the things off well for Maratha Arabians in the initial overs as he bagged two wickets to put Pukhtoons on the back foot. Fakhar Zaman played well for Pukhtoons as he smashed 22-ball 46 runs including three sixes.
Maratha Arabians faltered in the chase as leg-spinner Shahid Afridi led from the front to take a hat-trick to see Pukhtoons win the game by 25 runs. Sohail Khan also did well for Pukhtoons as he produced a miserly spell to end with 2 for 7 in two over spell.
Anwar Ali, Hasan Ali and Shoaib Malik- (Bengal Tigers vs Punjab Legends)
Shoaib Malik scored brisk 30 runs while medium pacer Anwar Ali did well to take two wickets in his four-over spell. Punjab Legends were in the hunt to win the game against Bengal Tigers as Hasan Ali produced a breath-taking spell to take four wickets in his four-over spell. Tigers did manage to sneak across the line to win the game courtesy of a cameo produce by all-rounder Anwar Ali who was named the man of the match.
Shoaib Malik (Punjab Legends)
Shoaib Malik produced a match-winning performance with the bat to score 60 runs against Kerala’s bowling attack while chasing a score of 115 runs. He smashed four sixes and was declared man of the match for his splendid show with the bat in the round-robin game played in T10 Cricket League.
Sohail Khan- (Pukhtoons vs Team Sri Lanka)
The medium pacer Sohail Khan once again produced a stellar bowling performance in a low scoring game. He conceded just five runs from his two-over spell to see Pukhtoons pull off the comfortable win in the round-robin game played in T10 Cricket League.
Fakhar Zaman, Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shehzad- (Pukhtoons vs Bengal Tigers)
Ahmed Shehzad produced a quick-fire 17-ball 38 runs along with crucial contributions from Shahid Afridi and Fakhar Zaman saw Pukhtoons notch up a comfortable win over Bengal Tigers in a game played in T10 Cricket League.
Sohail Tanvir- (Kerala Kings vs Maratha Arabians)
Left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir produced a sublime spell of 3 for 12 in his 2 overs to see Maratha score only 97 runs in their full quota of overs. Kerala Kings were able to win the game played against Maratha Arabians in a game played in T10 Cricket League.
Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Ahmed Shehzad- (Punjab Legends vs Pukhtoons)
Ahmed Shehzad and Shahid Afridi played vital roles in seeing Pukhtoons put up a daunting score on the board. Shehzad scored 58 runs in just 29 balls while Afridi produced a brisk cameo of 41 runs. Shoaib Malik produced a valiant effort with the bat to score 48 runs to steer his side to win the game to secure their place in the finals to meet with Kerala Kings in the T10 Cricket League.
