The reigning PSL Champions Peshawar Zalmi is all set to stage its own global T20 league next year. Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi and other key stakeholders have stressed their plans for creating a league on a global scale named Global Zalmi League.
Peshawar Zalmi also did give a hint earlier when they included players from China in the squad for the coming season. Global League is all set to take franchise’s name and brand to another level and also will help in getting the game to new consumers in the world. Peshawar Zalmi did confirm the news on their official social accounts made on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Approximately 16 teams will take part in the Global Zalmi League with talent selected from 16 countries for the next year’s competition. The league will also players from various parts of the world. Abraash Khan who led Canada Zalmi team will be part of the competition set to be organized by Peshawar Zalmi.

The franchise Peshawar Zalmi has been linked to various causes around Pakistan and organizing Global Zalmi league will be huge milestone for them. Javed Afridi, who is the owner of Peshawar Zalmi also made acquisitions in the Global T20 League in South Africa but the lack of sponsorship saw the competition postponed for next year.
Peshawar Zalmi are also set to defend their title in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League that will begin from 9th February.
