Multan Sultan is the newest addition to PSL 2018 and will become the sixth franchise to take part in the competition besides Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, and Peshawar. The draft for PSL 2018 is scheduled to take place in November where teams will bid for various international players to bolster their resources for the coming season.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi also announced that the final of PSL 2018 is going to take place in Karachi which is a step towards bringing international cricket back to Pakistan. PSL 2018 is set to be played in February next year with six franchises battling it out for the ultimate prize.
